The BBC needed a multi-year campaign platform to highlight their biggest offering in the UK — their commitment to supporting and championing homegrown storytelling and talent! (whilst bringing extra weight / meaning to their overall brand line THIS IS OUR BBC). We landed on an insight looking through the BBC back-catalogue of drama, comedy and documentaries, that the varied places they’re set across the UK are not just settings, but often important characters in the storytelling. 

So we launched MADE OF HERE — a celebration of where our stories proudly come from. An initial film serves as an ode to the towns and cities across the UK that inspired the BBC’s most loved TV shows and unforgettable characters. In a trip across our isles, we projected these stories on the exact communities that gave birth to them, all to a reimagined version of ‘My Home’ by Myles Smith.

Ultimately going forward with this campaign, we want to do more than highlight how we walk the walk with supporting homegrown storytelling, but show the BBC is made of EVERY corner of Britain, proving that this really is OUR BBC.
